This week, CHEER celebrates Atrium Health Navicent, a CHAMPS National hospital committed to supporting families and helping mothers reach their breastfeeding goals. The Navicent team serves a diverse community of mothers and families, offering compassionate guidance and education to ensure every parent receives the care and resources they need.

“We teach monthly virtual breastfeeding, infant safety, and childbirth classes,” shares Lindsey Smith, BSN, RN-TNCC. “We understand the challenges new moms face during this special moment in their lives, and we feel so privileged to provide support during such a meaningful time. There is nothing like helping a mom breastfeed her baby for the first time, watching that bond form, and knowing we have had a part in this amazing journey.”

CHEER also recognizes the dedication of Navicent’s team members (pictured), who not only provide lactation support to hospital employees but also share their expertise as presenters in CHAMPS: Making It Work in the Hospital Setting webinar series (session 4): Lindsey Smith, BSN, RN-TNCC, Tabitha Smith, BSN, RN, CLC, and Kelley Allen, BSN, RNC-MNN.
