CHEER CHAMPION OF THE WEEK: PATRICIA FRANCISCO
Meet a member of our CHAMPS National team and this week’s CHAMPion: Patricia Francisco! Passionate about maternal-child health, inclusive education, and neurodiversity awareness, Patricia is a CHAMPS consultant focusing on Spanish language translations and accurate information.
In addition to her CHAMPS work, Patricia serves as an Outreach Health Educator aiming to mitigate the impact of mental health illness on vulnerable families by developing, testing, and disseminating strategies through novel care delivery systems. She also teaches clients problem-solving skills and how to advocate for themselves and their families.
Patricia shares, “I am deeply committed to empowering mothers and colleagues through accurate breastfeeding education and essential problem-solving skills training. With my personal and professional experience in these areas, I take great pride in providing the knowledge and tools they need in their preferred language. It is crucial to me that the information is not only valid but also impactful.”
“As a health educator, certified Problem-Solving Skills Educator, certified Medical Interpreter and Translator, and passionate breastfeeding advocate and supporter, I am here to support [birthing people’s] journeys with expertise and compassion.”
Previously, Patricia worked at Project Solve, the Latino Health Insurance Program, Project Viva, Interpreter Errors, Children’s Health Study, and The Epidemiology of Preterm and Low Birth Weight.
We are thrilled to have Patricia on the CHAMPS team and celebrate her as our CHAMPion of the Week!
