KING’S DAUGHTERS MEDICAL CENTER AND OCEAN SPRINGS HOSPITAL

We’re thrilled to celebrate two CHAMPions this week — Mississippi CHAMPS hospitals King’s Daughters Medical Center and Ocean Springs Hospital — for earning Baby-Friendly re-designation!

Located in Brookhaven, MS, King’s Daughters Medical Center has been part of CHAMPS since May 2015 and first earned the Baby-Friendly designation in February 2019. Their dedicated maternity team has worked tirelessly to sustain best practices through ongoing staff training, patient education, and a steadfast commitment to moms, families, and the smallest members of their community.

Ocean Springs Hospital, part of the Singing River Health System, joined CHAMPS in 2017 with a clear mission to improve breastfeeding education, resources, and support. After years of dedication, quality improvement, and teamwork, they proudly achieved Baby-Friendly re-designation in August 2025.
