CHEER CHAMPION OF THE WEEK: STAYSHA QUENTRILL, CPM

Staysha Quentrill, CPM, is a dedicated midwife and passionate advocate for family-centered birth care. With over a decade of experience in birth work, Staysha has supported families in various capacities, including as a doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, midwifery assistant, and childbirth educator. In 2023, she launched her midwifery practice, where she continues to provide compassionate, individualized care as a solo practitioner.
Staysha first came to birth work with a love for babies, but over the years, her passion has deepened into watching people become parents. “The moment a baby is born, I love watching the eyes of their parents scan them and imprint on them, and their parenting skills grow almost instantly,” she shares. “It is an honor to walk alongside these families as they figure out their parenting styles, and it is amazing to watch parents take such an interest in parenting.”
In her practice, Staysha emphasizes safe and empowered birth experiences and the importance of mental and emotional well-being for parents and children. She encourages families to prioritize self-care, offering simple yet impactful advice: when feeling overwhelmed, go outside or get in the water to help regulate your system during challenging moments.
“Give yourself grace. Mental health for families, this is how we continue to have healthy generations after us.”
We are inspired by Staysha’s commitment to maternal and child health and well-being and are honored to spotlight her as our CHAMPion of the Week!
