DIANNA FREEHAN

Focus: Perinatal Care, Health Equity, Food Security, Humanitarian Aid, Holistic Health & Wellness

Previous/Other Current Work: Over her career, Dianna has cared for families across antenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, and lactation services as both an RN and IBCLC. In every setting, her focus has stayed the same: equitable, family-centered care. Dianna first got to know CHAMPS as a lead team member at a community hospital in Massachusetts. As a Consultant, Dianna feels inspired to think broadly about breastfeeding practices and maternal-child health within the larger healthcare landscape.

Activities of Choice: I enjoy cooking/baking, reading, paddleboarding, skiing, and coaching youth soccer.  I especially love spending time with my family, including my three children.

Fun Fact: My passion for wellness extends beyond the newborn period: I volunteer as a lead partner in the monthly Harvest of the Month Program at our public elementary school, preparing and serving local fresh foods in the cafeteria.  Student favorites include cinnamon apples, salsa, and spinach and kale smoothies!
