COMMUNITY HEALTH ASSESSMENTS (CHA)
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2015),* a community health assessment (or community health needs
assessment) is an initiative that identifies the health needs of a state, tribe, or other territory via systematic data collection and
analytical techniques. The community health improvement plan based on the CHA is generally updated every 3-5 years.
BLACKFEET COMMUNITY HEALTH
The Blackfeet Tribal Health Department is pleased to announce the
publication of the 2017 Blackfeet Community Health Assessment
(CHA)! This CHA contains information and data about health within
the Blackfeet Nation in 2016-17. Featured community health
priorities include mental health, substance abuse, access to primary
health care, violence and public safety, and maternal/infant health.
