LACTMED®

LactMed is a free online database with information on drugs and lactation. It is one of the newest additions to the National Library of Medicine’s TOXNET system, a web-based collection of resources covering toxicology, chemical safety, and environmental health.

NEW MOM HEALTH: 4TH TRIMESTER
PROJECT

UNC Chapel Hill’s 4th Trimester Project recently introduced NewMomHealth.com, the first postpartum self-care resource. This new website provides evidence-based, non-directive postpartum health information to help mothers thrive.

U.S. INSTITUTE FOR KANGAROO CARE®

The U.S. Institute for Kangaroo Care (USIKC) is the premier resource for Kangaroo and Mother Care, in addition to Skin-to-Skin Contact. USIKC provides access to experts in Kangaroo Care, literature citations, books and articles, sample hospital policies and protocols, position statements, educational courses, certification as a specialist in Kangaroo Care, consultations, implementation tool kits, patient/ health professional educational materials, and much more. ZIPMILK

ZipMilk is a site that provides listings for breastfeeding resources sorted by ZIP Code. It is designed for use by consumers interested in help or support for breastfeeding, as well as by providers who want to give their clients access to such resources. The data provided by ZipMilk is collected and maintained by state breastfeeding coalitions and other organizations, which are responsible for the state-specific listings on the site.
